Ultimate Thor is a version of Thor from the Ultimate Marvel Universe. He had his own series. He has appeared in several comic books and this version of Thor appears in the movie Ultimate Avengers and its sequel Ultimate Avengers 2.

This version of Thor was once a physchiatric nurse named Thorlief Golmen but he suffered a nervous breakdown before he turned 30. He spent eighteen months institutionalized but while he was he realized who he was and why he had been exiled to Earth. He realized he was Thor. He had been exiled to Earth as a human Thorlief Golmen. He claimed he was Thor the Norse god of thunder on a mission to save Earth and stop "the war to end all wars.". Thor later joined the team of super heroes called the Ultimates. But at first when Nick Fury asked him to join he refused.
